What is Deionized Water? 

Deionization is a process designed to remove impurities from water that will be used in heat transfer systems as part of the glycol and water antifreeze mix. It does this by extracting corrosive ions and scale promoters. The result of this process is a di water that meets the purity standards to maintain peak system performance when paired with equally pure inhibited glycol heat transfer fluid such as DOWFROST, DOWFROST HD or DOWTHERM SR-1.
