Refractometer Calibration Fluid

Overview

Special calibration fluid designed for setting the span (high-end) point on MISCO Palm Abbe digital refractometers.

• Complements daily zero-setting with water.
  
• Helps maintain long-term accuracy and precision.

When to Use

• Routine maintenance: Recommended once per year for maximum precision.
  
• Troubleshooting: If you notice a drop in accuracy or precision.
  
• Usage factors:
  Frequency of instrument use.
  Rough handling or transport.
  Exposure to large temperature swings.
  Level of precision required in your application.

How to Use

• Ensure the refractometer has been zero-set with water.
  
• Apply the calibration fluid to set the span adjustment.
  
• Keep both instrument and calibration fluid close to 20 °C (68 °F). Should not be more than a couple of degrees off this temperature.
